The story of a photographer
I've been a lover of all things photography since I was a kid. Showing my age, but I had a film camera with flash bulbs. My mother took a photography class when I was 14 and I inherited her Minolta 35mm film camera. I used SLR's and point and shoot cameras all through college just for fun. Photography has always been my passion and in the background of my life. Chances are if you know me you've seen me slinking around with a camera in my hand.
I live in Plymouth with my husband of 22(!) years. We have 3 amazing children (17, 15, 14) and the best golden retriever that ever walked the earth. I've been working in law enforcement for 24 years and slowly edging towards a young(ish) retirement. I want to spend the next portion of my life shooting rather than shooting;-) I think my life experiences give me a great appreciation for the small, beautiful moments.
My goal is to capture and preserve actual memories for people. As much as I see the need for posed photos, I really love the in-between moments. The magic happens in the middle place, a look, a hand hold, an intimate moment. Thats where I want to be, the spot where the light hits your face just right.
